Instead of commonly used animal product vitamin D3 (derived from lanolin sheep) or less absorbable and effective D2, we use lichen derived vitamin D3. It offers the bioavailability of D3 without impacting animal welfare.


Vitamin D is essential for an efficient calcium utilization. Without vitamin D, your body is unable to absorb dietary calcium, resulting in a reduction in bone density.

Vitamin D, also known as Cholecalciferol, is a fat-soluble vitamin - your body takes a while to dissolve and absorb -, essential to promote proper bone density.

It is also involved in immune function, cell growth and inflammation reduction.


Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to many problems such as dementia, depression, diabetes mellitus, autism, and schizophrenia It is mainly obtained  from direct sunlight & naturally present in very few foods.


To get a full daily dose of vitamin D through food you would need to consume approx 5ml of cod liver, 7 table spoons of margarine or 225 gr of tuna.


To maintain healthy blood levels, aim to get a few minutes of midday sunlight, several times per week. Then, wear sunscreen.
